I am closing in on one year with the start up company, Road Finch, and a constant goal in my head is pushing the brand in Stockton. I’ve reached out to several media outlets and old contacts that I thought could be beneficial in navigating me to the appropriate gatekeeper of news distribution. The path has been difficult, but I have experienced small successes along the way. I admit that several times we hit obstacles along the way. However, these obstacles set before us started to motivate the team to maneuver around, discovering alternative paths and establishing new connections.
Road Finch gained exposure in the Central Valley Business Journal in May, along with recognition from the Greater Stockton Chamber and Central Valley Asian Chamber of Commerce as one of the newest members in San Joaquin Valley. Thanks to the efforts of our Director of Sales, Katie Ewton, Road Finch was featured on Business Radio Money 105.5 in Sacramento. http://www.money1055.com
Rush Hour for Success, with Jim T. Chong and Cami Ferry, allowed Road Finch radio time to discuss the start up company and how the unique grassroots, outdoor marketing brand hits the pavement to promote client services. The journey has been long and the struggles will always be difficult at the end of the day. I am excited to say that each one of these milestones, even the small victories I forget to mention, push us forward to the next crossroads.
What will we discover when we turn down the next street? Will we find allies and forge new alliances? Perhaps we will see familiar faces when we return and reignite old relationships to better businesses in the community?
These are issues I think about on a weekly basis because sometimes I can’t reach everyone in a single day. I’ve met a lot of awesome people this year throughout the community. Several business owners and entrepreneurs are all creating their path in the San Joaquin Valley. How can I keep up with all of them and continue to help them grow in the community? The experience of working with a start up company is an adventure I never thought I would be a part of this year. No matter how bad society tells us that 2016 was a bad year, I can tell you that the community in Stockton is gaining a lot of positive momentum.
